At Cross of Christ, we offer may ways for you to show and share God’s love with others throughout Anthem, the Phoenix area and beyond. Below are a few of the opportunities we come together to do throughout the year.
SHARING AND CARRYING OUT YOUR LOVE FOR JESUS
Just as the son of many did not come to be served, but to give his live as a ransom for many. Matthew 20:28
Members make and serve lunch and play games at the facility. (A Christian program featuring adventure-based therapy for struggling teenagers.)
On an appointed weekend in the fall the members of Cross of Christ do various serving projects for the Anthem and surrounding communities (helping individual families or organizations with various projects).
Members visit other members of Cross of Christ or the community who are going through a “tough” time in their life or would just like a visit once in a while. The members bring a pot of tea, teacups, goodies, a devotion, hearts to listen, and prayers.
Stephen Ministry equips people in our congregation to provide one-to-one Christian care to people in our community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.
Stephen Ministry is a confidential ministry. The identity of those receiving care and everything they discuss with a Stephen Minister remain private.
Members help support volunteers with brining in plastic grocery bags (used to make mats for homeless vets), and having periodic Packing Parties boxing and mailing packages to our deployed troops.

An Easy Out is a low commitment service project done on our campus after the 10:00 service. We sort and make hygiene bags for the Foothills Food Bank, especially the Black Canyon City location. They serve 100-110 people each week.
